The Forest Retreat  is in an ideal location close to downtown but surrounded by forest, so it’s very quiet. The bedroom has a queen bed and windows looking out into the trees. The bath has glass and ceramic tile in the tub and shower. This is a casual house that puts people at ease the moment they enter. It was built by master furniture maker Wolf Sitter, and designed by his artist/photographer wife, Charlotte Bell,.

The location is ideal: 20 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from the trendy SOCO and Rainy street districts, 15 minutes from the capital and the University of Texas. Even better, it is 3 blocks from the Hike and Bike trail. When you are in the house it feels like the country since it backs up to a wooded greenbelt. You can walk to many places.

There is strong wifi, cable TV, AC and heat.

It rents for 175 per night, 3 night minimum, 1150 per week, 1850 per month.
Pricing is 195 during festivals.
